Wants cake and wants to eat it as well. $250 put it against custom 7850s and under almost every 7870, the price performance would be great but there's no way that's going to happen. Also 3GB versions on 192 Bit bus sounds like a bad idea...

I'm not really sure why anybody would buy this card unless they are unable to spend any more than $300? For a few bucks more you can get a 7950 but, more crucially, I'd rather spend $100 more and get a 670 or a 7970...

If they decide to release a new version of 660Ti (like they had a 560Ti 448), by that time my budget might be enough to get a 670 4Gb, but if I wait out four months more I can step into Dx12, assuming it is right around the corner. This 1Gb barrier isn't a BIG menace yet, because games still look sweet and run well, but Crysis 3 I have a feeling will bring a change.
Assuming I can still make the day with 1k textures & SMAA + some config tweaking, it would suck to buy another Dx11 card. I've already taken a 5670, so that would make it my third. Fourth actually since I have 2 560Tis.
