Erm.. I'd say that the hard pad do degrade the skates faster, but the pad also degrade itself. From my experience, there are no mouse pad that can last forever. A hard pad should last you quite a while before it degrade, but dont expect it to last 5 years.
Both will give you the same tracking quality, and both will eventually wear out. The cloth pad that I've used tend to wear fairly quicker than the plastic pad, but they mostly loose their color and it doesnt really affect the tracking.

Okay. Thanks. I don't see any skates for the AM though. Does it use the same skates as the EC mice?

Well, that we can worry about later.

I feel like getting the AM is my best choice, as they've already tried to lower the LOD from what I've read. I'm not sure if it's true, but it does give it a hand above the others. It's just a little something that's a bit nicer than the other mice. No prediction either. I think I'll go for the Zowie AM. Skates I will have to find as there doesn't seem to be any skates for this mouse yet that I can buy.

I'll probably get a QCK + or QCK mass for a mouse pad. If anybody can recommend a better mouse pad, I'd be happy to consider it.

Controllers/gamepads I can look at later. I just want to confirm a good mousepad and my cries for help will come to an end. tongue.gif
