Check craigslist too. I found a few people in my area selling 24", 27" and 30" dell ultrasharps at some pretty decent prices. It is worth a shot at least.
I currently have a 24" ultrasharp (older model) and I still love it so much. With the CL posts I found recently its made me think about getting a second monitor. However, the MC by me has that 27" AURIA and I have been wanting to upgrade for a little while now. I can't find it in my heart (code for: my soon to be wife will prob. shoot me in my face) to buy another $750+ monitor just for gaming and web surfing.
The frame rate drop is also on my mind, but my GPU is on water so I suppose I can just OC the hell out of it.
