I figured that I should give credit where credit is due:

Everyone here at overclock.net. There is a huge amount of good information here.
This post in particular made me believe what I wanted was possible. http://www.overclock.net/t/1262284/haf-xm-water-cooled-360-rad-mod

Of course Martin at http://martinsliquidlab.org/ Tons of good information here as well.

Joe at Frozen CPU www.frozencpu.com - answered a bunch of my noobish questions about products and gave me some good advice.

Thanks to everyone. I have learned much in the last several weeks.

Well, I'm pretty pleased overall with the stress test. Started OCCT then left to get some froyo with the family. When we got back the CPU was floating at 37 deg C and GPU at 40 deg C.
It has been hot here in CO. Ambient is 28-29 deg C. This is with everything on conservative PWM settings. Very quiet. The loudest thing is the stock 140mm fan in the rear. I ordered another GT-15 today to replace it. biggrin.gif

Fist day of hard core gaming. GW2 headstart was this weekend.

After hours of play, had to adjust the fan profiles a bit. Heat never gets above 42 deg C. Ambient temp was 26-27 deg C. Wife is pleased with the reduction in noise. She says she can't tell that it is running.

Do you happen t know how much clearance there is between the radiator and that top shroud? I am going to be building a setup with the Alphacool XT45.

the Black Ice III is 40mm thick and barely fit under the shroud.
