There are some games(MMO/FPS) that benefit from the added room you get @ 1920X1200 for chat. For working space they are very nice no doubt and I wish they were more of them.

I still must laugh at the 16:10 fanboys who believe that 1920x1200 have more pixels than 2560x1440.

As said before. There will never be any 16:10 gaming monitors again. It would be like the carstores started to sell horse and carriage again.

No one is stupid enough to believe that 1920x1200 has more pixels 2560x1440. I think you're just fishing for a reaction, and I've seen your name mentioned jokingly in more than one thread on this subject.

And as for 16:9 vs 16:10, it all comes down to which game you're playing and whether you value a little extra FOV or less edge distortion and some extra vertical lines. There is no one answer. Even your precious quote is mildly self-contradictory: "16:10 resolutions ALWAYS see less than 16:9 resolutions in most games".

... and the difference btwn 1080p to 1200p in gaming is minimal to none. a 1200p monitor can still do 1080p (with black bars). oh black bars are so annoying and that's why i don't go to the movie theaters rolleyes.gif.

there's actually life outside gaming. something called work. when you want real work done you need all the real estate you can get. and for 24" monitors 1200p it is. and why would they get a 1440p when they can get 1600p...
