"[AMD] Athlon II x2 240 @ 3.0GHz" - is that your CPU?
why not go with a H80 i just got one and its SO good even after gaming (wow, Prototype for like 5 or 6 hours) my CPU didnt go above 34c thats with a Push-Pull setup and i idle between 21-25c

Would do you mean by semi-custom. Do you mean like water cooling kits?

BTW, I have my i7 3770k on stock cooler and the case is getting quite hot.

EDIT: Updated specs

So which water cooling kits would you recommend me? I never before did water cooling and I would only like a loop for the CPU.

I had a look around using google and found out that the XSPC Rasa 750 RX240 is a good thing. It doesn't come with coolant. So what coolant would you recommend?

Is the Rasa 750 RX240 a bit too much for cooling the CPU only? And is it quiet?

This is an extremely common problem for the H100 and H80. You can try, just moderately in force, with the tip of your finger a few times and it will go away. I went through no less than 15 H80's, and I have the receipts for proof, trying to find one without this fault. There are 100's of threads online about it. Corsair refuses to do anything. GG.

What do you mean by forcing it? Like tapping? On the previous unit I did it and it still made the noise. I read somewhere that someone put the heatsink side ways. Is that a good idea?

Side ways or not, the problem comes from the pump. Yep, sorry. Tap it. Might take a min. of tapping. I had one that took a beating before it stopped. Don't fear though. It won't stop and this isn't an early sign of it failing. It is annoying more than anything.

I already installed it and I have it turned on. Should I tap it now? Oh and I should I plug the fans into the H100 or into the motherboard?

I have done some tapping. It is making a vrr... noise.

The noise grew a bit larger after I started to flick the tubes.

One more thing, when the fans are plugged into the H100 the fan controller doesn't change the speeds. The fans I am using are the Corsair SP120 Quiet edition fans.

Really? i just got a H80 and *SO FAR* havent had any issues with it runs like a dream and im hoping too get a little OC going as it rarely goes over 35c on Load :O
