Fan Controller / Powering my fans

Thread Starter
So my current mobo Asus Maximus IV Gene - Z has only four fan header slots, i think one of them is pwm (the cpu header?) anyways once i complete my build i will have to case fans 120mm, and ap181 , plus the 7fans for my water cooling setup (ap15s) and the way im doing my build there is no way to add 5.22 expansion bay controllers, and im sure my mobo cant power all those fans threw the onboard headers..

I was looking at something like the Phobya 4-Pin Power Distribution PCB 6x 3-Pin Block and mounting it in the back of my mobo to power the ap15s, was going to ask if there something like this i can get to power the fans and then hook up to my mobo to use the onboard controller?
i have problem running the ap15s at max 24/7 just cool if i could control them if need be

You can get cheap fan controllers without an LCD display and you could mod it so that it is just a PCB and some dials. Then you could stick it wherever you wanted it and control your fans that way.

The Lampton Fan Controller Touch is really nice looking that would probably keep the front looking clean how you want. It only has 6 channels though, but it's 30W per channel so you can easily run multiple fans off one channel.
If you're really trying to keep the 5.25" bays clear, the Bitspower Power Extension has multiple fan headers with different voltages if you don't want to run all the fans at full speed

um not liking the controller, seems abit tacky to me, and i was looking at those bitpower power extensions.

do you guys have any info on the Aquacomputer Aquaero 5 LT USB? I was liking its features not sure if i want to get into all that yet but thinking about, how is this supposed to be mounted?

The problem with the Lamptron is the way it speeds up the fans. It doesn't feed them more volts gradually, it just jumps from minimum to maximum when you hit the threshold. I can't help feeling this is hard on the fan, as it will blip up and down when it first gets to the threshold until whatever you are cooling either heats up enough to stay over the threshold, or cools down enough to stay below the threshold. 30W/channel is good, but, I really don't like how it works.
