it's not a 670 or 680 but you could do one of these low profile Radeon 7850's in a slim HTPC case

Also thunberbolt accesses into to pci-e x4 unfortunately, so it would not be very high end.

It is weird for me to see that no one has made a *really* portable pc case yet.

The closest one would be SG05, but even that feel quite cubey.

I wish I could buy a F-NW tiki / X51 case only haha.

VGA up to 300mm (~11.8 in), PSU up to 140mm (~5.5 in), CPU cooler up to 80mm (~3.1 in).

Something like a GTX 670 + Silverstone PSU + Scythe Shuriken Rev. B = compatible.

IMO, the best case, it has a handle and isn't too flat so that it's bulky to carry around and leads to GPU/CPU cooler/PSU limitations.

 

Though, guessing by the likes of it, you won't like this case. Why? Cause it's sorta like the SG05.

The closest thing I can get is the PC-Q12.

At 88mm (~3.5 in) thick, it's the closest thing I can get. Plus, it's got an SFX 300W PSU.

 

Really though, your best bet is a gaming laptop.

TU200 is actually bigger in size than SG05; unfortunate!

The PC-Q12 doesn't support graphic cards (both PSU and height for 670), but it does look nice, and really close to what I want.

I dislike gaming laptops... a lot. It makes me feel like I'm paying for a lot of things I'm never going to use, such as the screen, KB, trackpad etc. Also I do not like the xxxM cards at all.

I really thought I found my case until I reazlied the PC-q12 isn't compatible frown.gif

Worst comes to worst I'll pickup a SG05 and bring less...clothes with me tongue.gif


edit: Side question: H80 fits in SG05 with dual fans? But need thinner fans? Which fans are thinner and work well or is H60 recommended ?

A H60 with two good fans would probably be the way to go. If you want to go the H80 route, either 2 20mm thick slimline Yateloons, or a 25mm thick fan, and a 12mm thick scythe slipstream (12mm slipstream probably wont make alot of difference)

Not certain about whether the graphics card will fit or not, and the PSU will definitely not be ATX (Site suggests 250w Flex PSU) but this case is thin, and accepts a full height graphics card (using riser cable). A bit pricey, but damn good looking.

Yeah it is, all of Wesena's cases look really clean. I'll be using their ITX5 for my next build. The other case I'd considered, which is very similar to the ITX5, was Streacom's FC8



Streacom has a number of fanless cases that are similar to Wesena's models. Much pricier, but the entire case acts as a heatsink.

Is that Streamcom LP?

I'm so impressed with the actual existence of this "slim-ITX" case market.
There have been a good number of links to these cases, both in the consumer and server market, with 90 degree rotated PCI slots that I've never seen before.
