ips 60hz vs 120hz question

Thread Starter
I recently ordered the Catleap on ebay and coincidently started playing Skyrim recently which plays much better on 60hz. I switched my 120hz monitor to 60hz to compensate and I can't even play a simple game like Skyrim. The difference is so astounding.

Question: To those of you who own both a 60hz ips and 120hz TN.. How do you even play an MMO on the IPS? I'm completely regretting my IPS order (I'll just use it for desktop stuff anyways) but I think I might pick up one of those samsung 120hz LEDs with great colors just because playing anything on 60hz feels like a drag.

Which one? I was most likely just going to get a 23". The only reason I wanted the IPS was for the resolution. I've used the 27" 1080p screens and I don't necessarily need that.

I didn't realize that one was glossy. That might be my choice. I'll search for reviews of the s23a750d / s23a700d vs that ASUS.

I have the AW2310. It's really old and I want to upgrade to a glossy LED. I played on the 27" versions of those samsungs and they were really gorgeous.

ya im eying on the s27a750d problem is you cannot take of the stand as im seeing i can be wrong i might want to go surround gaming this time thats why

but then again i went back to my older tn 60hz samsung 27a550 and wel i instantly missed the colors of the ips from dell the older samsung just realy felt washed out * then again my 120hz display in my dell laptop looks realy good color wise*

After I bought a 120hz monitor for gaming I was blown away. I certainly would take 120hz over IPS all day long. The Korean monitors worry me about quality, warranty, and support.
BenQ makes the XL2420T and XL2420TX (3d ready) monitors. The screen is matte, the base is great, vesa compatible.
