a hyper 212+ or hyper 212 evo should do you just fine. there are other similar ones but i have tried both and they work well.

I think it is too expensive for my budget.
What about Scythe Mugen 3?
I haven't heard much about that cooler but I have an Artic Freezer 7

And as Navynuke suggestion you should check out the hyper 212, It's really popular and cheap too.

Here's a maxiumpc article, If I needed a cooler I'd go for this one.

What about Scythe Mugen 3?

The Hyper 212+ is a good budget cooler with P/P option it's one of the best budget coolers out there...as for the Mugen 3 I've had the Mugen 2 and if Scythe did their homework the Mugen 3 will have better air-flow and increased performance. So far I've owned both the Mugen 2 and CM 212+ and I'd have to say they both perform well under $50.

Both of these were on AP-15's in P/P config unfortunately the Mugen 2 beats the 212+ by 5*C on OC on an Athlon II 640 @ 3.6Ghz 24/7 OC.

The only caveat I have with the Mugen series is it's REALLY hard to mount the HSF on the CPU and it took me a good half an hour to finish mounting my Mugen 2 on my board. But with the 212+ took me 10 minutes.

That's alright, but the best for your budget is nothing but 'Thermal Take Frio'. It's an awesome CPU Cooler and holds it's name.

If you're willing to spend a bit more then Thermal Right Venomous X is the next best thing and it's even 5 bucks off with free shipping:

Thermaltake Frio VS. Cooler Master 212+ EVO?
if you have tall heat spreaders on your ram i would for sure go with the 212 evo. i hear the frio doesnt work well with tall heat spreaders. other than that, get whatever you can get for cheaper i say. thumb.gif
