Ahh. Have you tried the Sensei out by any chance? If you have, does it have a similar profile?

I don't have a sensei, but I have a Xai. In terms of profile (shape right?) the Taipan is thinner (63mm wide vs 68mm) and the rear is also much thinner. If you're a palmer, the Xai/sensei is better. The Xai/sensei is also pretty good for Claw and such, but I'd assume the Taipan is better for claw since I heard clawers are into thin mice :? That's really the main difference in terms of shape. They're essentially kinda similar.

Also, I urge you to try and double up on feet for the deathadder, plus apply solid tape over part of the sensor hole. I've seen issues on various forums where people have tried applying magic tape over the entire hole and absolutely hated it. Buy some cheap hotline mouse skates for $2 and some tape ($?), and you have a mouse that's as good as the 3G deathadder.

The Taipan is actually smaller overall compared to the Xai/Sensei? I would of though that it would be much larger. I think I'll pass on the Taipan then.

I actually have a Sensei right now and it is just a tad bit too small for me. I have really small hands yet I seem to prefer bulky mice. I think I'll give the Razer DA 3.5G a shot then. I've got the Back Edition right now but it's hard to get a good grip on the mouse. I'll be returning and getting the original. Thanks for all the advice, appreciate it smile.gif

Do you prefer glossy mice? If so, try the Zowie EC1 (white edition) if the original deathadder still doesn't provide enough grip. The EC1 has very similar dimensions to the deathadder, with a glossy shell and ok switches. The LOD is very low (check to see if your mousepad might cause some issues on this forum), and the perfect control speed is lower.

I don't mind the sides being glossy, but I would rather have the top a rubberised or non glossy.

if you prefer 400 or 800 dpi you could try the G400. Not everyone likes the shape but the sensor is brilliant at 400 to 800 dpi. Very low LOD. High has jitter.

Ended up getting the G400, I got it for £25 too, what a bargain! smile.gif

I hope you get PID>13333 as those will not have mouse prediction.
The way to tell if you have the box in your hand, look at the clear seal stickler, if it says Logitech on it, it will have no prediction, as per Logitech:
http://forums.logitech.com/t5/G-series-Gaming-Mice/g400-angle-snapping-mouse-prediction-removed/td-p/763727/page/2

The sensor is perfect just the shape took some getting used to. If you're a palm/claw grip it should be good. But I use fingertip grip and as the mouse is long I have no forward and back range of motion in my fingers, i have to physically move my whole arm. I think I'm starting to go claw grip cause of that, without even noticing.
I can score close to 5m/s in enotus mouse test for max tracking
LOD is very low, bout a CD and a half, maybe two

Also the cable seems very durable, I use the original mouse bungee which tugs on the cable and no issues after 4 months of use =D

Congrats for getting the best sensor on the market for £25 wink.gif
