what am i supposed to be looking at?

their website says

Good DA 3.5G / G300 / Kinzu V2 / KANA / SENSEI

Bad WMO / IMO / IE 3.0 / G500 / AM / EC1 / DRCTM03 / DRTCM15

g500 and sensei have the same sensor so?? and i'm using a g9x which is same sensor as g500 and it works great. i'll try out IMO and IE 3.0 in a bit

sound and speed even though the angles were a little messed up

some testing for 5 minutes after unboxing it

i just tried IMO and IE3.0 and they skip so much with fast movements. but looking at the raiden size i dont think you'll achieve those speeds under normal gameplay but it doesnt really concern me because i dont use prehistoric mice anyways.

offtopic question: does the razer scarab wear out just like the razer destructor? i like raiden and scarab equally but i dont know if scarab will end up like destructor(garbage after 2-3 months).

I already said it's smoother than the hayate, i can see some holes but they are insanely small so i dont know if a lot of dust will get in there, you can see the expanded picture they give out on the website
http://www.artisan-jp.com/artisan/img/raiden_exp.png
and it also feels EXACTLY like a cleaning cloth that came with my iphone 3g many years ago.

EDIT: kinda like this http://a.vimeocdn.com/si/videoschool/lenswipe.jpg but way smoother and you have to look really closely to see the holes or whatever you call those openings

I have a shiden-kai xsoft myself. You've said you've owned every artisan. How does the raiden compare?

I alternate between my hayate and shiden kai. The shiden kai is sometimes too slippery for me depending on the day and the hayate is sometimes too grippy. I am just a finicky mouse user I guess.

almost as fast but less slippery after fast movements. something i also noticed is that this xsoft actually feels like it would be xxsoft, it's much softer than any other xsoft i've had and i'm not sure if it's because of the cloth top or because of the cheaper foam to reduce costs, so maybe if you wanna have an xsoft feeling just get the mid version but this one is perfect for me so far so meh

they have them on stock again, 1 xsoft and 2 MID but i already ordered 1 MID so there's 1 MID left, good luck

Does the Raiden have any problems other then sensor incompatibility? It seems there are problems in all of Artisan's pads except the Hien.

Hayate: people reported dust being stuck in the holes/fibers
Shiden & Shiden Kai: coating wears off in 3 months

I honestly rather have a great Artisan mousepad that is the most consistent overtime

I've owned a Hayate for almost a year and have no idea what people are talking about with regards to dust getting stuck.
