Artisan Raiden Mouse Pad - Page 3

It really comes down to where you live. I live in a ranch area that has a dairy plant about a mile away and they stir up an enormous amount of dirt and everything in my place gets a nice fine coat of it to the point where I have to do 'dust' quite often. And it smells like manure all the time. frown.gif

I know what you're talking about. I use mine in the keyboard drawer of a computer desk which I push in when not in use and it still gets really dusty. Every few months I run a lint-removing roller over it and gently wash it with some soap and water and a microfiber cloth too. It doesn't really quite feel the same as it was now but I don't have a brand new one to be sure.

It really sucks because Artisan mousepads are so damned expensive because of the yen-dollar exchange rate.

At any rate, I'll probably get the raiden anyways. I already have my perfect mouse and keyboard and am out of useless knick knacks to buy biggrin.gif

"Good DA 3.5G / G300 / Kinzu V2 / KANA / SENSEI

Bad WMO / IMO / IE 3.0 / G500 / AM / EC1 / DRCTM03 / DRTCM15"

This description makes no sense. DA 3.5g uses modified 3090 as does the Zowie AM and EC1. Also Sensei uses the same basic sensor as the g500 as has been said. I use basically nothing but Avago 3090 mice (DA BE, EC2 Evo, CM Storm Spawn) so I worry about this pad not working.

Still bought the last raiden xsoft on amazon. I'll report on its performance a little bit later (also some high res pics and maybe some comparisons to my Hayate and Shiden-Kai for those interested).

Sounds good. I think with the sensors, there is variable quality between each one. I'm guessing the zowie are more prone to malfunction due to the lower lift off. Just like the avago v1 9500 sensors malfunctioned easily on cloth, so too does the G500 I'm guessing. The sensei has the v2 I think though, which performs as well on cloth.

Actually DA3.5G's rom is older. A3090 is more or less S3888 w/ modifications wink.gif

Each of mice those differer by LED quality. Zowie AM uses a 3rd party lens which will effect tracking and refraction. I gave a possible explanation for the G500 above.

I have the Large Hayate and love it. You're saying you like this better than the Hayate?

I have a hayate and love it also. I'm curious to see if the raiden is comparable. If I remember right aren't they the same price?
