Thread Starter
Hi, guys, I am confused of which of these 3 switch are the best. I am going to be using them in link aggregation (802.3ad LACP) for my NAS server (Synology DS412+)

1. NETGEAR 16 Port Gigabit Smart Switch w/ 2 Combo ports - Lifetime Warranty (GS716T)

2. D-Link DGS-1100-16 EasySmart 16-port Gigabit Switch 10/100/1000Mbps 16 x RJ45 8K MAC Address Table

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833127351&Tpk=dgs-1100-16

3. TRENDnet TEG-160WS Gigabit Web Smart Switch 10/100/1000Mbps 16 x RJ45 8K Entries Per Device MAC Address Table 512KBytes per device Buffer Memory

Any input would be great. If there are other switches besides these then please recommend them as well.

Thank you

Hi I just purchased the D-Link DGS-1100-16 and tried to configure it with the same synology DS412+.
I never could get Link Aggregation to work so the unit is going back additional research found that the "smart switch" Trunking does not work properly or support Jumbo frames. Since I have macs and pc's on the network seems that bonjour is not supported either. what a waist of an evening.
What did you end up going with?

This is an old thread.... last post was a year ago.

I have a Netgear PROSAFE GS108T-200NAS. It is probably one of the cheapest switches that does support LACP. I have not enabled Jumbo Frames though.
Once again...
