Hey, I wasn't exactly sure where to put this thread as I'm not 100% certain the problem is caused as a result of my Xfire 6970s (but I'm somewhat certain). My problem is that randomly my computer decides to shutdown on me, it's normally when gaming. Recently the issue has become less frequent as a result of decreasing the core voltage of the GPUs, but still the computer sometimes decides to shutdown. The 'unique' part of the issue is that I've done plenty of benchmarks for both my CPU and my GPU and no shutdowns occur (GPUs hitting 85~ and CPU hitting above 60). I normally benchmark for an hour as the computer is in my bedroom.
Another weird thing is that rarely when the computer has been left on for a while (2-3 hours) it decides to shutdown by itself, I know this by checking.
Computer Specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 4.2GHz
8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz
2x 2GB AMD RADEON™ HD6970
SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio
ASUS® P8Z68-V PRO
CORSAIR 1000W PRO SERIES (HX1000)
COOLIT ECO II (CPU Cooling)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
(I'm not sure if this is any help, but often when gaming when I alt-tab to Mozilla Firefox and watch a YouTube vid, I often freeze up and BSOD)
Thanks.
