vtx3d VX7950 3GBD5-2DHX RADEON HD 7950 X-Edition voltage control?

I was planning to buy GB windforce 670 but this card is cheaper by 70$ so I'm about to buy it since it also the cheapest of all 7950 but I have only one concern and it is about voltage control and therefore overclocking potential ... I only found 1 German review of this card and they didn't mention if this card's voltage can be changed with normal overclocking tools like msi afterburner?
The only review I found was from http://ht4u.net/reviews/2012/vtx3d_r...50_oc_im_test/

Another choice is (this is specific model) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131465 it costs 71$ more than 7950 so it is just 1$ more than cheapest 670 available here... Does this model also have voltage control? I was AMD guy right from 9600 pro and wanted to try nvidia but prices here for nvidia products are just insane, no point to wait for 660ti as its going to be around what 7950 costs to me.

Thank you for your help.

which region are you from ? If you are in the US get the Gigabyte HD 7950 OC (900 Mhz) .Price USD 309 after mail in rebate.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125414

Best bang for buck card. clock for clock is 3 -5% slower than HD 7970 .overclocks well .

Here is a HD 7950 (900 Mhz) voltage overclocked to 1195 Mhz and compared with HD 7970 (925 Mhz)

Sadly I'm from Europe and vtx3d HD 7950 X-Edition costs (when converted to USD) 391$, GIGABYTE GV-R795WF3-3GD 433$, GV-N670OC-2GD 482$ and PowerColor AX7970 3GBD5-2DHV2 483$ and I'm obviously trying to get the best bang for my buck because I just sold my MSI 7850 Power Edition in search for something "better"
Edit: and just as a reference - cheapest non-reference gtx 680 costs 648$ redface.gif

Gigabyte is a better brand. if you can get this card at 270 GBP works out to USD 423. good price.

Since we do not have to deal with manufacturers in any way when cards goes bad I do not really care about brands and brand will not raise my this cards resale value either. Is there a way to know if PowerColor AX7970 3GBD5-2DHV2 uses reference pcb and so therefore allows for voltage tuning? Because for just 50$ more than GB 7950 I can get 7970. And yet again thank you for Your help.

And the question remains if vtx3d VX7950 (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-008-VX) voltage can be controlled because reading http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18416100&page=2 I get impression what I can do that.

From further inspection I see what this card should be OC friendli because as seen in pictures of review ( http://ht4u.net/reviews/2012/vtx3d_radeon_hd_7950_oc_im_test/index5.php ) it uses H5GQ2H24MFA T2C memory module (the same is GB windforce) and it uses chil controller to (?) control voltage BUT it doesnt cool memomy modules. Can this cause problems for overclocking because at least starting from 6xxx amd series I found info that memory modules doesnt really get hot and do not really need to be cooled. ASUS directcu II 7950 also doesnt have heatsink on momory modules.

First of all most online retailers provide warranty for the first year. After that you are mostly asked to directly send it to the manufacturer for warranty replacement. Also Gigabyte comes with a 3 yr warranty while VTX comes with 2 yr warranty. And that gives Gigabyte card more value when you plan to sell it in the future. If you still want to get VTX go ahead. You shouldn't have any problem with voltage overclocking.
