Appraisals: P55 FTW with Core i7 860 and 4 GB G. Skill Tridents. Also Ultra X3 1000W PSU

Hey guys, I'm intending to sell these parts to a friend of mine, but I'm not sure what I should sell them for. I was thinking around the range of $250-300, but I wanted to ask you guys first.

So here are the parts:

P55 FTW

G.Skill 4 GB Tridents

Core i7 860

The Core i7 860 back then on Newegg was about $270. I bought from MicroCenter, so it was most likely cheaper (probably around $200).

The G.Skill Tridents were $155.98 and the P55 FTW was $214.99, based on my Newegg order history.

The Core i7 860, IMO, was a good overclocker. On a relatively extreme liquid cooling system (quad rad with 8 high-speed Yate Loons and an Apogee GTZ), I was able to top 4.0 GHz easily (probably doable on a very good air cooler as well). I believed at its peak, it was around 4.4 GHz, but for summer times, I usually kept it around 4.2 GHz for temperature sake.

Thanks for any appraisals I get.

EDIT: New part added

Ultra x3 1000W PSU

Actually, yeah, 250$ sounds reasonable.

Thanks. I also personally think $250 is a very fair, good deal. The system itself, although not comparable to a current generation system, runs very well for most modern tasks IMO. If you were to pair this system with an SSD and a current generation graphics card, that in itself is a very fair, good system.

I agree $250 sounds right, but somebody will end up with a solid rig with that hardware

Based on recent sales or listings that I have seen recently, I'd put the values as follows:

$60-$80 P55 FTW

$50-$60 G.Skill 4 GB Tridents

$120-$140 Core i7 860

Totals out to be $230-$$280, so that $250 others have quoted is pretty close to the middle of the range and should be fair to both parties.

I'm feeling $275 shipped. My friend also ended up getting an AMD combo instead, so I'll have to sell this set up to the community.

Also, I would now like an appraisal for my Ultra X3 1000W PSU as well. Comes with all original cables.

I'd say 100$ shipped. Newegg sells a lot of top of the line energy efficient PSUs for under 200$ (for example, the CMX-1000 or the Silverstone ST1000-P).

It was his first computer and budget was extremely important to him. Originally, he didn't even want to budge until someone gave him a Geforce 9800 for him for free.

Thanks for the appraisal too.
