Making cool my Hd4350

First of all don't ignore me as newbie i saw in many forums newbies are just pawned mad.gif So please don't ignore me -_-

I own a radeon HD4350 ..It doesn't have a fan with it , it has some metal sort kind of thing attached to it!! The temp of GPU gets high whenever i play games !! I overclocked it using CCC to 640mhz core clocks and 540mhz (memory clocks ) games run smooth in low settings + i have 6gb ddr3 1333mhz ram installed too! my GPU crashes after 30minutes of gameplay !! I just wanted to know is there any solution to keep temp down?I have 2 case fans too!! Or any hardware mod you can suggest that with my GPU to make it cool ? I'm ready to pay anything under $10 and ready to take risk with my GPU too ! Just let me know possible methods that can be precised to make it little cooler biggrin.gif

SO no one knows ? isn't its kinda weird? In such a huge comunity no replies ? i know its a dumb question but case mods can overcome this dificulty i think!

1. Be patient. Just because you don't get a reply in less than 2 hours doesn't mean no one knows or will help.

2. That metal thing attached to it is more than likely the heatsink.

3. How hot are we talking? I really doubt it's all that hot considering it's just a 4350 and according to AMD, "consumes less than 25 watts under full load". Chances are your overclock just isn't stable which is causing the crashing.

Okay my GPU's exact photo is this !! Dude can u suggest one thing ? See i think my stock processor fan would exactly fir in my gpu's heatsink slot so will it be better than that heat sink ?

MY GPU looks like this 6345_5231.jpg

1. Please fill out your PC Specs.
2. Do not remove your stock processor fan.
3. the HD4350 does not need a fan as it is not a very powerful card.
4. the best thing to do is to position your a case fans so that one blows air in and one pulls the hot air out.
5. if you want something more powerful i suggest saving up and buying a new card.

first off, don't expect an amazing OC on that gpu. maybe 30-75mhz bump TOTAL. 2nd, if you really want it cooled down, zip tie/hot glue/mounting tape an 80/92/120mm fan to the heatsink. Again, don't expect much.

I'm following this technique currently to blow out hot air

http://www.overclock.net/t/1294067/hey-i-got-good-reasults

any more suggestions ? Shall i tie a fan too with it ? or make some really good arrangement of fans so i get a 5-10degree reduction result ?

Okie i'll zip tie or wateva will be possible but will make it stick there !! Okay tell me how to do that ? Means u saw in photo that i already has a heatsink !! What i'm thinking is that i have a spare chasis fan which i used earlier as CPU fan !! It has alumunium coating in end so shall i remove heat sink and stick it ? or let the heat sink there and stick one more case fan to it ?and i don want a good overclock i just want it to be cool so it doesn crashes while playing games biggrin.gif

What is the actual temp when you play a game(not furmark/kombustor)? Most gpus can handle over 90c before shutting down.
If the screen goes black, your GPU core clock is probably too high.
If the screen freezes or gets weird colored blocks, your GPU memory clock is probably too high.
