Yea on paper and blue print, it can clearly be seen that Gigabyte has a more powerful VRM zone and should also OC better. But again, every chip is different from one another. And in real, just like you're saying, both equally OC well.

Yes it should clock better because of its VRM's and cooler, yet it does not. The FTW is still king in that regard, but the GB is right behind it.

I haven't OCed mine yet, but I just bought a 670 FTW yesterday and it is sweet.

I game at 1440p and it runs everything ive got at high settings with no problems at all.

Some pro's for the EVGA:

It looks cool as heck.
Good customer service.
OCed out of the box.
Awesome backplate available from EVGA.
Not super ugly like the windforce.

Cool stickers and poster included!

It rocks.

VRMs isn´t the only factor when you overclock... it also has to do with the GPU and the silicon lottery.

I would get the EVGA FTW model.

Here's why:

I've had to deal with their support once.

I had broken a card, rubbed off two of vital pieces on top of the card. I sent Jacob F here on OCN a PM asking if I could pay to get the card repaired. He set me up with a RMA, and I sent it out fully expecting to be paying for it to be repaired. They ended up sending me a new card for free. I told them I did it, they still sent me a new one for free. They were pleasant to deal with too.

It also carries the highest chance of hitting 1300+ on the core according the the GTX 670 Lottery thing.

Also, directly from EVGA:

Compared to standard 670, FTW has more solid caps, larger PCB (same as 680) and cooler is 30% better than reference cooler as well.

I did mention that before.

Well as you say man. I still think that with giga, it's like you're getting more for your money.

OP: All these cards are very similar. I was in your boat a week ago, and couldn't decide. They are all very similar. I bought a used 560ti instead for $150, and am very happy with that. It is less powerful, but TBH, I don't notice it. So what I'm saying is that you really can't choose wrong.

That was out of the blue though tongue.gif

i would have to say go for the EVGA FTW. the FTW cards are some of the highest binned GPUs from EVGA and their support is awesome. another benefit to the reference style cooler is that it is going to exhaust most of that hot air outside your case which the windforce will not do. also being that its on a 680 pcb, if you choose to water cool it, there are lots of options out for 680 blocks as the blocks that fit the reference 680 will fit the 670 FTW.

the only thing i dont like about it is the stacked power connectors, but the ones in the center of the card like the ref 670 isnt any better imo.
