the only thing i dont like about it is the stacked power connectors, but the ones in the center of the card like the ref 670 isnt any better imo.

The thing is mate that im not sure if the EVGA cooling solution is sufficient enough compared to gigabytes. Thats what i want to find out. If the cooler can cool thet gpu without having to max out the fan % and the gpu being 69-75C at load at load.

Any owners of the 670 FTW that can tell me anything about some temps with stock and OC clocks ?

Gigabyte Windforce also has ref-680-sized PCB.

It is very quite almost unnoticeable, and I play with head phones. But when I do not the sound is a big deal at all(and things like this would tend to bug me big time if it was loud) as for temps they are good in about 6-8 hours of BF3 gaming maxed out no vsync I max out at 72C and avg 68C (ambient of about 23-24C). On a 60hz with Vsync it is much cooler, in the mid 60's. The fan is only loud when I bench and turn it to 80% tongue.gif

This is my custom fan curve also.

this is true but does it have the ref layout like the FTW does? if not, it may be hard to find a block for it down the road unless someone makes one just for it. the reason i bring this up is because i said i would never be crazy enough to put my rig under water and it happened.

Put it this way. The EVGA cooler is 30% better than the stock 670. And it's good enough for all the reference GTX 680's (which have a higher TDP). It will be fine.

This. And also the resale will be better with a card that has a h20 block and back plate available for it....
