Well, just get the best card you can get for $140 at one of the local stores.

They get better as numbers go up within a series, so there you go. There's not much else to say.

now thats the correct order.

OP pick up the ASUS GTX 560 for USD 150 after rebate. best card in that range.

Cards from different companies do not belong to the same series, so I am correct.

HD 7970 > HD 7950 > HD 7870 > HD 7850 > etc.
GTX 680 > GTX 670 > GTX 660Ti > etc.

Obviously he should just get the highest-numbered card in either series that he can find for $140 or less.
