unrealistic? how is benching using a wide variety of normal programs and games unrealistic? what do you suggest, we use a program that is designed for benching only instead of actual programs.

I was making a point about how within the same series, power goes up as numbers go up.

I only paid $250 for the HD 6950. The CPU was a gift from a friend, and it does not bottleneck my system at all.

Rustynails you are full of derp. The 7770 is clearly better in every way (except price) than the 5770/6770. Not to mention the OCing capability of GCN.
If you are looking for a card under $140 right now, get the 7770. If you can wait, wait for the 650 to come out so more cards around your price range will drop in price.
