Qnix QX2700 27" Korean monitor review - Page 16

Hey guys I'm thinking about getting this monitor. I am looking at a version on ebay that has HDMI input. Has anyone got one of these versions or heard about them? Are they literally the same monitor but with extra inputs?

As an owner of the DVI-D only version, I would say same panel, bezel, stand. The main difference is that this version has a scalar, which allows you to display at different resolutions, not just at 1440p, as the DVI-D models are restricted to. Addition of the scalar adds processing time to any video input, so you theoretically could see a slower response time during gaming. A lot of folks buy the 1440p only panels to ensure the fastest input response possible.

If you really want an IPS with a scalar/multiple inputs you might consider buying stateside vs from Korea. Microcenter has the Auria which is pretty close to the price of the multi-input Qnix.

Hi

I want to use this monitor as my third korean 1440p screen, so i buyed the hdmi version because there are already 2 "Potalion" screens on the dvi-d ports of my 660ti card.

My problem is now, that I can't set the resolution to more than 1920x1080, even when the monitor, my card and the cable all should support hdmi 1.4a.

Has someone already used such a setup and can me help to find out which part is the problem? Or maybe just a working QX2700/hdmi/2560x1440px setup?

Thanks.

Hey guys
I got one of these (the 2 HDMI version) yesterday. it worked perfectly.
Shut my PC down and turn the screen off at the on/off button.

It hasn't turned on since! The power brick light is green/on...

Any ideas? frown.gif

EDIT: So 1.5hrs later I tried the on/off button and it just turned on as if nothing happened. It has been fine since. I unplugged it and it has worked fine since plugging it back in.
I haven't turned it off with the on/off button, though. That is a big "DO NOT PRESS" in big red letters now. Still no idea what the problem was...

Update: I got the replacement power adaptor, the adaptor works fine and is much beefier but it didn't fix my problem, so I contacted redcap and got him to send me a new pcb, which I got today and which also didn't fix the problem, so I assume the problem is with the panel itself and it looks as if I will be sending the monitor back to Korea :/.

Hey folks,

So I am trying to decide between two of the QNIX monitors. $377 Canadian will get me one with a glossy screen, 2 hdmi ports and swivel functionality. $367 will get me one with a matte screen and no other features. There aren't any windows near where my computer is, but there is quite a bit of natural light. I have an XPS 15 and the glossy screen kinda bugs me, but doesn't the gloss also make the colors "pop" more? I don't think having a glossy one would be the end of the world. Why am I going with QNIX? Well they seem to be the cheapest! Also in regards to the input lag with the HDMI model, is the delay just more on the HDMI ports than the DVI ports, or is the response time on ALL inputs more delayed than a DVI only model? I've been considering selling my Xbox anyway so I may just go for the DVI model.

Thanks

Hi guys, just got my new Qnix monitor, but it isn't turning on. The red light on the plug adapter is on, the green light on the power brick is on, but there is no standby light on the monitor and when I press the power button, nothing happens. I am in the UK if that helps and I believe the voltage at mains is ~230V. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Thanks
Craig
