Help me build my system

Hey Guys,

I'm starting on a new build using some old components and getting some new ones. Here is what I have, I'm trying to build this from a point of taking the CPU to 5.0 GHZ OC.

Here is what I have:

CPU: I7 2600K / I7 3770K (i already have the 2600k at 4.4 GHZ. Which of the two CPUs will be better and stable at around 5.00 GHZ)
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2471349

GPU: GTX 690 Signature
Cooler - H80
Future Cooler - Going to run a loop and here is what Im thinking any suggestions or should I stay with a 420 rad to cool the CPU, MB, RAM, GPU (GPU will not be in the loop initially)

Board - ASUS Maximus V FORMULA LGA 1155

PSU - SeaSonic X-SERIES X-1050 1050W (Will be sleeved)

Case - Switch 810 White (Love the case, thinking of doing a white wizard kind of a theme)

Here is what I need - RAM

I already have this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231442

but would like to know what is some good ram for OCing.

I do have the option of returning the 3770K and sticking with my 2600K, from what I read, don't think Im going to get any major benefit from it but would like to use the one that is stable. If 2600K is a better choice then what i5 LGA1155 should I replace it with as I plan to use it for a rig for my kid (using my existing phantom, Sabertooth P67, GTX 570 HD, left overs)

I'm relatively new to this forum and I would like to thank to who ever responds to this as any help is appreciated.

I will reply later in greater, I am using my phone, the 3770 runs hot. Have you considered the 3930 and X79?
You will get better performance with SB over IB. If you decide to go with the 3770, you should de-lid it and use better TIM.

I thought about X79 but literally the fact is if I spend that much money on a CPU and a board I don't see my wife staying with me for long. Given that I build the machine in my sig not even an year ago.

Plus the money I save by not going X79 I can get the water cooling components and other trinkets for my build.

Thanks a lot for the response.

Then just add H20 cooling and clock that 2600 to 5GHZ.

I have always used Dominator with Asus MB's, but that just me. You will need more Rad's if you intend to H20 cool the 690.

Ok call me crazy but I m starting to swing in the favor of X79 platform. I know a 3820 with an rampage IV is well withing budget. From future proofing point of view does that make sense. (Well what I have right now does not need any updating, but I know I wont be able to sleep knowing that I could have had something better)

I wanna do this right and hopefully not complain about getting new toys 6 months later lol.
