Refrigerating Coolant?(Not Phase Change)

Thread Starter
I was just wondering if I could mod like one of those mini fridges or something like that to keep my coolant colder than room temp. I'm not thinking of true phase change here. I really just want to lower the temps of my coolant since my room temps go up during the winter(parents find it too cold) Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

Called a slush box... Put the evap of a small window AC unit in a box full of water+antifreeze, then submerge the rad from a WC system, and boom, sub ambient temps!

That was a very simple explination... But it works quite well!

Oh okay. Good to remember common sense here... This might wait then because I was looking for a solution that I wouldn't have to worry about condensation but still at least get down to room temp.

I think if you just cool it a little, so that the cpu warms up the water again to 'a little over room temperature' then it should not condensate. But its a tricky thing

Yea.. definitely. I just might scrap the idea together until I feel like coating my CPU in thermal grease. Thanks!

I noticed you were new here. Welcome to the Forums!

Horrayy! Thermal grease, yup that was it

I will grease my system when I buy a new one I think, that way I avoid to kick my system into oblivion without having a 'spare'
