Asus p/n: 08002-00040100

Ebay and a few online retailers have them too. Not sure if this one will work with two cards only like the 1-3-5 3way bridge.

Thanks to ComputerMD82 for the post!

edit/update 06/19/2013: Big thanks to KpForce1 for the info. FYI: Asrock can sell you the hard bridge to connect all three cards w/ this slot configuration. Please send me or KpForce1 a pm on the instructions. Its a small fee (you pay Asrock) but its a very hard to find bridge. Heck, even evga doesn't have this. Its usually included with the Asrock Z68 Extreme7 motherboard:

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 100

Solved!!!

I've never used ribbon sli bridges on three nvidia cards. Apperantly, you can't do it like amd/ati (what a shame). Here's my mb:

My three cards are running in pcie red slot #1, #3, and #5. This gives me optimal cooling for three air cooled cards. I ran this same configuration with three 6970s. After struggling to get the 3rd card detected, I can't configure 3-way sli. At most, the nvidia cp gives me 2-way. I found a few images of how it should be setup. I bought a 120mm bridge but I'm looking for second opinions to connect them.

Found this in a forum:

Please don't ask me to sandwich the cards as this will defeat the purpose of me purchasing this expensive mb and getting non-reference air cooled cards. Plus, the blades stick out a bit and will be touching the back of the pcb.

There's no performance gain or loss, it just looks better when you don't use the ribbon SLI links.

Those are images I found so I was wondering how it will connect. The problem is that extra slot in between the top too cards will make the 120mm cable a tad bit short. And I searched around and no one makes a 140mm cable. Plus, I heard the longer the cable, more performance loss.

So I'm stuck then? Might have go back to Amd. This will be a first since I've always had troubles with amd and switched back to Nvidia. What a shame rolleyes.gif. Any more suggestions would be helpful smile.gif

Have you tried Moving the card sandwiched to confirm tri-sli works?

It does kinda look like that board might have to use sandwiched cards, the second pic you have posted is the right way to do the ribbon cables, dwjp90's diagram should work too.
If it gives no tri sli option with those layouts, try it the same way with gpus in slots 1,2 & 4 (sandwiched). If the tri sli option shows up, that is how it would have to be.
Lots of boards have multiple x16/x8 slots, but most can't mix & match what slots are used for multi gpu.

Worked for Amd frown.gif

The first pic I noticed too its got the sandwich for the top two cards. but I'm more keen on illustrating the arrangement of the ribbons as opposed to the cards as I explained how that's setup in the first paragraph.

I bought a 120cm bridge. I posted this in the evga forums and i haven't heard from anyone. I found a thread of a guy trying to run three 580 matrix with three slot coolers. He needed the same arrangement as I do and was told to try the long ribbon cable. The thread ended after that.

What a real shame. For the first time, I'm thinking of leaving Nvidia for amd because of the stupid sli bridge. I can't wonder why is this much more complicated than amd frown.gif. Sigh frown.giffrown.giffrown.gif

Didn't your mobo come with a tri SLI hard bridge? Usually all mobos that support tri sli has that included. If you want to jerryrig it then this is probably the only way to do it unless you by some miracle find a extra super long DCII soft SLI bridge.

I did, but this mb is weird and won't pick up the 3rd and as I said, I'm not going to run this in sandwich. I'm going to rma the mb but It looks I won't find a long enough cable. I heard asus might have something like this but I haven't found anything.

Looks like my edit didn't make it in time. Yes asus does have a extra super long SLI cable that is especially made for the DCII cards. That's what you should look for.

Edit:

By the looks of it at least it should be long enough to allow you to wire up the cards correctly.
