Didn't know where to post this so here goes

During boot my tv/monitor goes through 3 resolution changes... In between each it seems to "disconnect" from the computer although there is no BSOD. Any suggestions? All drivers up to date and is connected via HDMI but boots fine when connected via VGA

Gigabyte Radeon HD 7950 windforce---vid card
Intel Core i5-3570k---CPU
Asus P8H77-I---mobo
Silver stone SFX 450w---power supply
Kingston HyperX dual channel 8gb DDR3---Ram

Do you have a different HDMI port on your TV that you can plug it into? Also since you have a DVI port see if you can get a DVI to HDMI dongle. You may just have a bad port on your video card. If all the other ports work and it's only the HDMI port having this issue then that is probably your best bet. I'm doubtful that it's a driver problem but you can also try to roll back your drivers to an older set. Also if you have a plain DVI cable and a DVI port on your TV then I would try that out.

That's the odd part... It happened when I used intel hd 4000 graphics as well with the HDMI port on the motherboard. And I know the HDMI port is fine on the tv as I used it without problem for my old computer as well as Xbox... And no there isn't a dvi port on the tv :/

If you were trying to run it from the integrated graphics you may also have an issue since they are both HDMI. I personally have never used an H series motherboard so I'm not 100% sure about how it goes when switching back and forth between on-board graphics and the dedicated card. I would look at your display settings under control panel and see what is set up as your primary display output set to. Also when you installed the latest drivers did you run driver sweeper in safe mode after uninstalling the old drivers and before installing the new ones?

When I tried the intel integrated graphics i disconnected the descrete card... And no I updated my drivers via and catalyst control center...

That might be your problem and hopefully it's a simple fix. Here is what I would try:

1 - Download DriverSweeper
2 - Download the newest drivers to your desktop
3 - Uninstall the drivers through the CCC
4 - Reboot into safe mode
5 - Once in safe mode run DriverSweeper and clear out any old drivers and remnants of old drivers
6 - Once it reboots (DriverSweeper needs to reboot after you use it) install the drivers that are on your desktop
7 - Shut down the computer and plug in the TV through the HDMI port
8 - Turn it on and pray it works.

If that doesn't work then try an older set of drivers. I'm off to bed but I'll check this thread again in the morning. Good luck and hope that helps.

Followed your instructions but still no luck :/ I'll try getting a dvi-HDMI adapter and see if that helps

Which OS are you running. Also if you're running Windows 7 are you running 32 bit or 64 bit. They are all available on the Nvidia website. Here is the list assuming you are running Windows 7 x64
