Okay. So I'm in the market for a new monitor, I've narrowed it down to two feasible options, and a third if it's priced at the right point.
Option 1: Dell Ultrasharp U2410
24" screen, with USB ports AND a card reader, which is awesome.
1920 x 1200 resolution.
Easy to replace if any issue.
Good, reputable company US-base company.
About $440
Option 2: Crossover 27Q, Korean IPS monitor
27", my current monitor's size.
2560 x 1440. But possible, and likely, defects such as stuck/dead pixels, back-light bleed, and maybe others.
Not the easiest to get replaced or a refund on.
Many people have gotten lucky and gotten perfect, or near perfect, monitors. Cheaper by about $50-$100.
About $380
Option 3: Dell Ultrasharp U2713HM. Likely only to happen if placed at the projected "$640".
Definitely out of my current budget, but by the time it is released for sale in US I should have some extra saved up to afford that.
2560 x 1440, with all of the bonuses of the other Dell.
Pretty high price tag.
Supposedly, "$640".
My computer usage is mainly 50% gaming, 20% photo viewing/editing, 20% reading/typing up documents, and I suppose that last remaining 10% is watching movies.
So, what would you guys go with? If it's of any interest/concern, my current max budget is about $450. But as I could save up an extra $200 if necessary for a U2713HM. Also, no multi-monitor suggestions. Current graphics are Crossfire 6950's.
