If you're at stock and you're getting those temps then you seated the HSF wrong or you have a concaved IHS

I wouldn't even have the PC on, let alone fold at that temp

to bad i gave u one rep already today.. il have to give u another one soon... not only did u help with "if i should keep it on even" but u also solved the problem of why it was soo hot :O

i took off the stock hsf and guess what...

the as5 only spread out over about.. 1/3rd a square inch!!!

this time i manualy rubed in thermal compound on both the cpu and the hsf!

im currently geting 32-34C stock idle with this lil puppy!! not bad eh?

edit: load temps suck though 50-52C but thats with TAT for the load test. im sure dual prime is lower. il post those in a sec!

That there alone tells you that your IHS is concaved, looks like you will have to either lap it or RMA it :/

u sure its my ihs? cuz i got like 28-39C idle/load with the infinty.. im guessing its the stock hs?

i think also puting to little compound on and the compound being like 15C had something to do with it not spreading too.

I thought you had put everything back at stock and that you put enough thermal compound
