Hey Guys!

Hoping you can help me out.

Looking to buy the Thermalright SB.E for my Gigabyte G1 Sniper 3 Mobo.
I have 16gb 4x4gb of Corsair Vengeance Ram (not Law profile has fins) 1600mhz
i7-3770k CPU

and wondering if that air cooler will fit? WIll it be touching ram sticks?

Can anyone help me out with this?

Kind regards

1.Are you talking about the Thermalright Archon SB-E or the Thermalright Silver Arrow SB-E?
2. The first pci-e slot is a 16x one, so you cannot use this slot with either one of them.ö
3. The Silver Arrow without fan is roughly as wide as the Archon with fan, so the only chance to use the SA would be without the front fan
4. on most boards the archon fits (or the SA without front fan), but the distance between RAM and CPU Socket varies from board to board so i cant tell you for sure.

I'm 99% sure it will block the first ram slot since you have the tall heatspreaders.

Not the sniper but an other GB mobo:

Since you say you are looking to buy I presume you haven't bought it yet?
Then why would you want the tall heatspreaders? I have them and they're very flimsy (actually pulled on of them off without force) and serve no purpose aside from looks (which aren't too great either).

My brother got the LP ones and they're a lot better. The heatspreader feels a lot more sturdy and IMHO it looks better as well and you don't have height problems.

PS: I got them because the LP hadn't been released at that time.

Hey guys

im not looking to get the silver arrow, its massive,

Just this - http://www.thermalright.com/products/index.php?act=data&cat_id=35&id=198

from the pictures shown, the silver arrow is wider and uses two fans. I will only use one.

i do also want to note, not looking to O/c extensively, or even at all at this stage.. however, IB runs 20'c hotter so i wanna keep the temps down.

Atm rig looks like so with this ram

EDIT: You already got the ram and motherboard. Enjoy your Antec Kuhler or Corsair H X

Corsair H X is a PSU?
Im assuming since i alrady have the build, no air cooling is what you are saying?

If so, ive read alot the the corsairs h80-100 leak.
So antec would be my next option if thats the case

i just took out my ruler and measured the Intel Boxed cooler compared to the Archon. The Archon is 6mm wider on the fan side!

the Prolimatech Genesis fits over the Vengeance RAM for sure.
But again, with these coolers you CAN NOT use your first pci-e slot!

My suggestion:

Noctua NH-C14, it fits over your RAM and doesnt give you problems witht he PCI-slot.
