Hi all,

How can i overclock my cpu until 3,6 GHz without destroying it?

That's why i have the following questions:

- If i raise the cpu multiplier, does the volt automatically change or not?
- I have a scythe mugen rev 2b cpu cooler, how can i speed up the cpu fan speed?
- How can i use amd overdrive?
- Can you please help me out guys?

Thanks in advance!!!

Welcome to OCN!

First off, list the rest of your specs. It'll be easier to guide you that way.

1: Read this over thoroughly: http://www.overclock.net/t/525113/phenom-ii-overclocking-guide
2: Your OC can be done by multiplier only, or a combo of FSB/multiplier. If you increase FSB, you'll be increasing RAM, HTT, CPU-NB speeds as well and the multipliers for each will have to be adjusted.
3: Fan speed: There is usually a setting in the power section of BIOS for adjusting the dynamic fan speed control or making it a fixed speed.
4: OC out of BIOS, not software.

Drop back after you read the guide.

In the bios, set the multiplier to 18 and the CPU voltage (vcore) to as close to 1.385v as you can without going over. Then reboot and if you get to windows, check with CPUZ that the voltage is correct and if not adjust accordingly. Then run a stress test of some sort to make sure you are good ( Prime95, Cinebench, OCCT). If you BSOD then add a notch of voltage and try again.
