its not negativity, everyone is just trying to help balance your system. you chose one of the better CPUs but a terrible GPU. the 2600k is a great cpu, but for the stuff you plan on doing, a 2500k will do you more than fine and save you some cash to get a better GPU. you can stream video, music, play games, surf the net and whatever else you want to do at the same time on a 2500k and you will notice no difference between it and the 2600k.
just using the $100 saved from that, you could have got a GTX 570 which will do you much better than SLI 550Ti. it also comes with less power draw than 2 cards, again saving you money and opening up for more choices for a more suitable PSU.
try to take everything everyone is telling you as a lesson instead of negativity. grow and learn from this and when the time comes to build your next system, maybe build it for your self and give what you currently have to the parents.
Oh wait, I'm sorry if I might of mislead some of you to thinking it's ONLY for multitasking and home works. Obviously I play BF3, sometimes WOW (but its dying really), Modern Warfare 3, ect ect.
I am still new to this, so the very limited trust I have for the psu comes from web based MAINLY YOUTUBE reviews.
