automatic shutdown - Page 2

Have any of you guys tried running your PC out of the case, this is the first thing I would try, just to make sure nothing is shorting out.

This has been happening to me for about 2 weeks except it wouldn't restart automatically. At first I thought it was my OC, then I thought it was windows. Reinstalled windows and it was still happening. Checked all drivers. Checked all pin connections. It was just starting to get real bad in the last few days

Then my gut was telling me it was the PSU. Sure enough, yesterday it shutdown and wouldn't start up. I borrowed my nephews PSU and been running my computer since.

The thing is that these shutdowns for me were so random that I couldn't really find out what was causing them. It was getting frustrating. Actually had to wait til it died to really know that it was the PSU.
