This contest is going to be a scavenger hunt - each week for the next 4 weeks, this post will feature a question relating to Intel's SSD offerings. The answer to the question can be found on Intel's website (we'll provide a few helpful links to guide you in the right direction). When you find the answer to the question, don't post it here! PM your answer to the user Intel Contest with the following format:
Subject: OCN USERNAME ONLY – NO ADDITIONAL TEXT
Body: Answer to the question. Since you will be sending 4 PMs in total, please send each new message as a reply to your previous message. You must send one answer each week to be eligible to win - sending all the answers at the end of the contest won't count!

For Canadian residents, please also include the answer to the following in one of your PMs:
What is 100 divided by 4 plus 5?
At the end of the contest, we'll select 3 qualifying members to receive a 120gb, 520 Series SSD from Intel. "Qualifying" is to mean that you've submitted a correct answer to each week's question during the week that question was active, and at no point did you post any of the answers in this thread. Due to the volume of PMs, please do not expect any response PMs from 'Intel Contest' until after the scavenger hunt has ended. Full terms and conditions.
Good luck and happy hunting!

The Intel 330 Series SATA 6Gb/s standard allows read/write speeds up to _____ /_____ MB/sec (Fill in the blanks)
For Canadian residents, please also include the answer to the following in one of your PMs:

Chipp, probably as one of the few who actually read the rules, I just noticed that all the four questions are in the rules. So, what is the deal with posting a different question every week ? And people sending 4 pm's ? Whoever reads the rules can just send one pm with all the answers.
The rule you mention about sending the first answer by midnight EST on August 21st collides with this (not directly, but because these are the "Full terms and conditions" and they don't mention anything about sending 4 pm's with different deadlines):

Each member must Private Message user ‘Intel Contest’ with correct answers to all questions no later September 11, 2012 11:59PM PST. Each member is only allowed one entry during the promotion period. Any repeat posts by members will not be counted towards eligibility.
If you link to an article saying that those are the "Full terms and conditions", then you have to comply with those terms in your post or change the terms to reflect what you said in the post.
Oh, also, the first two questions posted in the rules are generic and should be completed to mean that you are referring to the 330 Series.
Edit: I made this post instead of sending Chipp a pm first because the "Full terms and conditions" are the ones that are legally binding, not Chipp's post (unless the contest is reset and the rules rewritten), so people who answer everything right now are more likely to win, given that the rules for choosing are not based on a lottery of who answered right, it has to do with
Quote:
The Submissions will be judged according to the following equally weighted factors: (i) clarity; (ii) the degree to which the entry is complete, informed, and appropriate.
, so whoever gets to research with time first and get the best answers, gets the best chances to win.
I merely made everybody aware of this so that it is a level playing field.
