Sounds good, any chance you could point me to some decent antennas? Looking around on amazon there seems to be a large variance in price even for the same type of antenna.

Got the Rocketm2 in and tried to set it up but I'm having a few issues. I have it set up as follows. The network shows up, and I can connect, and the connection strength is good for not having adjusted the antennas yet. The issue is that I get dns errors whenever I try to go online with that network. Whenever I try to connect to a network it says the DNS lookup has failed.

You need to change the SOHO Router mode to Bridge mode, because SOHO makes the Rocket's port act as a WAN port, while you want the actual router to do all the routing and network management.
Change that to Bridge and everything on Wi-Fi should work on the router's DHCP.

add:
So complete config would be:
Network Mode: Bridge
Disable Network: None

Bridge IP Address: DHCP

Fallbacks can be set to 192.168.3.2 / 255.255.255.0 or whatever you like, that will be assigned if the DHCP from the router fails.
I chose 3.2 to avoid possible collision with the router, so choose that based on your IP assignments. You can choose 1.2 or 0.1 or whatever.

Spanning Tree Protocol: uncheck (that's for multiple bridges)
Auto IP aliasing: check

And now it should work, provided that the router is configured for DHCP and no MAC filter prevents the devices from working.

Alright, its working, giving a good signal strength even though I haven't moved it to the optimal position. The only problem seems to be the speed, the router's wireless network is providing speeds of around 45mb/s while the one running through the rocket only provides speeds of 10mb/s. Any ideas? Also should I even be running multiple networks or is there a way to turn off the router's wireless AP?

There probably is, in the router's WWW interface. You can disable it altogether and just use the Rocket.

As for the speed, make sure that you enable 802.11 n not only b/g,
channel selection might also play a role in this, if you leave the router's radio on, they should not be on the same channel or even on overlapping channels.
It would also be good to check the air for other APs and what channels they use, and pick the one where there's as few as possible or one that's as far from others as possible.

The Rocket should provide enough coverage that you won't need the router's radio and roaming.
Make sure you use WPA2 or MAC filters to prevent unauthorized access.
