Overclocking voltage spike 241V at VDDC/Kombustor stays at 1.17

Hi my rig details are given in my signature. Running 12.7 drivers. Overclocking with afterburner (Haven't touched overdrive..so its not enabled). I overclocked my card to 1125 and 1575 at 1.1625V (ASIC is 78.3%, card does not go over 1100 on the core with powertune and thats the reason i increased the voltage) I can run heaven and 3dmark perfectly fine, but when I play games freeze all the time. I use gpu-z to monitor voltage and stuff. Generally the card runs at 1.14 .. something when its at 100% (Checked with combustor). When the games freeze and I alt+tab out, gpu-z shows my max voltage on the VDDC at 241.00V!!!!!! Now I know it can never go that high. But I guess something is causing a voltage spike. Can I please get some help with this. Did a fresh install of OS with drivers and afterburner.

Edit: Increasing voltage with afterburner, but when I run kombustor it still shows my vddc at 1.17. Have done the EULA, XCL and voltage monitoring stuff in afterburner.

That's just some misreading from GPU-Z, don't worry about it. Pretty sure this happens to lots of people, including me. If reading was correct, at 241V your card would have burned already.

I know that and I am not worried about GPU showing whatever... but my games are freezing up and I have run out of ideas. I understand that maybe my overclocking is not stable. I just wanted to know if the voltages I am applying in afterburner are actually being applied. Kombustor doesnt show an increase and afterburner says that I am always at 1.1625 regardless of the speed of the core (which cannot be possible as lower clock speed will lower voltages too). And GPU-Z shows that spike whenever my games crash. So i was just wondering what was really causing the games to crash. Voltages not applied properly through afterburner or a voltage spike that was causing my card to freeze
