Laptop CPU Upgrade - Page 2

Had the A8 for about two weeks now and thought that I'd post some benchmarks.

The CPU had quite a few bent pins, but after a few hours with some sewing pins I managed to get it to fit, and I'm thoroughly pleased with it's performance biggrin.gif

I know that you could find these results elsewhere, but this is what I got:

AMD A4 3300M:

3DMark 11:
P623 3DMarks
Graphics: 565
Physics: 1427
Combined: 585

3DMark Vantage:
P2227 3DMarks
Graphics: 2047
CPU: 3026

PCMark 7:
1276 PCMarks

CINEBENCH:
OpenGL: Fail
CPU: 1.12 pts

Unigine Heavan:
1366 x 768
Score: 344
FPS: 13.7
Min: 8.7
Max: 25.8

AMD A8 3500M:

3DMark 11:
P821 3DMarks
Graphics: 742
Physics: 2260
Combined: 712

3DMark Vantage:
P3130 3DMarks
Graphics: 2764
CPU: 5197

PCMark 7:
2637 PCMarks

Cinebench:
Open GL:23.08 fps
CPU:1.85 pts

Unigine Heavan:
1366 x 768
Score: 436
FPS: 17.3
Min: 10.5
Max: 33.9

Thanks for looking! thumb.gif

Cool. Where did you find an A8 at? I'd like to upgrade my A8 to an A10, but the only ones I've found are still at the $150 price point as of now. Time should bring the prices down quite a bit...as it always does. Anyhoo, good job.

Don't forget, you can overclock the heck out of that 3500. Simple program called K10stat. Check out the youtube video's for directions, and post the differences!

I got it off ebay, only cost me £50 biggrin.gif

I wish that Mobile Trinity was the same socket, otherwise I would have tried to get an A10!

I tried k10stat a while ago, with not much success, I'll have to give it ago.
I'll be sure to post back if I make any progress thumb.gif
