Hannspree HZ281HPB 28" - Decent monitor?

Hi people,

I was at a shop and saw this monitor going for $279 bucks which was surprising for it's specs. Has anyone used Hannspree before or own this monitor? I'm looking for a large LCD for all-round use and gaming. Seem's like a good deal but I'd like some opinions on this. TYVM.

Hannspree HZ281HPB 28" Widescreen
1920x1200, 16:10, 15000:1 Dynamic, 800:1Native
60Hz
3ms
HDMI, DVI-D

While its a nice monitor, you're going to be better off going for a korean IPS monitor which will be about the same size, with a much better picture and a higher resolution.
All in all, something like an catleap or a shimian will be a better value than a I-inc/hanspree/hanns-g monitor. I myself own a rebranded hanns-g, which has served me well and has been a great monitor. However the value of this monitor simply cannot hold up to an IPS monitor of the same size at roughly the same price.

It's a pretty good monitor, I got 1 dead pixel in 5 panels. 16x10 is pretty rare now so that's a bonus if your looking for it.

Thanks for the info guys. Yeah I think I'll just go for the catleap monitors from ebay.
