I'm sure they have a huge stack of video cards and other things to test and work on but seriously on tuesday they will have had my card for a whole 3 weeks.. I really hope I get a update soon and I think I won't be going with MSI again. They've almost had the card for 3 tuesdays now...

I didn't get a replacement card for at least two weeks.

My fan on my previous 560ti TFII had a grinding problem (sounded like it was going to fail). It seems that with the TFIII redesign the fans they use are much better.

terribly slow rma process.. not going with msi again for any product although i feel like they do make good stuff but the rma service is terrible.

Its taking forever, and the people on the phones barely speak english.

Hey guys.

Recently got the same issue with fan rotors slowing, and now making quite the grinding noise. I am very interested however in how one might open the fan itself without breaking it to lubricate the rotor. I tried pulling it off the base, but as I don't know if it's on clips, I don't really want to break it and then fix it with superglue...

Any ideas where I might find blueprints for those fans? Think power logic has those anywhere? Haven't been able to find em.

Cheers for your time in any case. It's a really decent stock cooling system from what I've seen in the last year clocked at 950MhZ. I'd be sorry if I had to replace it without frying it first: thumb.gif

just checked out pyro-dude's ball bearing guides. mad props on that. i will chisel into the glue if i have to, to check out those bearings

You can't pull it off to lube it, I've tried.

They're junk...

How long did yours last?

580 Twin Frozr II's here, and yeah, the fans are junk - mine jammed to the point where they were difficult to turn by hand like someone else said. Their appalling RMA speed has also put me off ever buying any MSI products again, and that's not to mention the 3 times I've had to RMA in 18 months.

I'm sending in my 560ti tf2 in today, so I'm stuck with 8800gt 512MB now frown.gif one of the fans is dead, stuck pretty good. It used to make a grinding noise occasionally, now the card is crashing and having rendering problems (flashing screen) and the card getting stuck at 2D clocks, only way to fix is to reinstall the drivers. Also started getting system hangs the last few days, not bsod's so been putting it off cause of this thread.

Contacting them to see if they would give me an advanced RMA was not as straight forward as I would have thought I had to call, because they never respond to emails... Wish me luck.

That's a shame. Ive had it running since May 2011. Only recently got a little dust issue, and can't rely on RMA as I'm not in north america. Not even sure the warrantee lasts a year. I'll give the fans a shot though. If I can clean em and they haven't been ground out of repair, I might get a better temp than my current 56°C idle.
edit: by clean I mean cut/dismantle clean and rebuild

The GTX560 twin frozr i put in my cousins comp only lasted 6 months. It didnt have the fan issues like you guys are having but its is having the driver crashing issues that people are reporting about in the newegg reviews. Pretty crappy to spend $200+ on a card and it not even last very long
