system(cpu+gpu) temps suddenly 10° higher

Hi,

the temperatures of my cpu and my gpu suddenly became 10° C higher. Only thing i did before this, i snug down the screws of my cpu cooler (hr-02 macho) completely and changed the cpu multiplier and voltage in the bios. And set my onboard soundcard to enabled in bios.

now i've set multiplier to 2000mhz and cpu voltage to 1v with k10stat and i get 51°@idle and 54°@load. (Before i believe it were ~40@idle and ~48@load)
And my gpu is 60° hot, compared to 45-50° it was before.

I don't think these temperatures are normal, what could have caused this rise in temperature? did i damage anything when mounting the cpu cooler? Or what could be the issue?

Thanks

48->54°C under load seems reasonable for GPU after adding voltage.
GPU I am not sure about though, as long as airflow is decent in the case.

actually, i removed voltage. i remember the cpu running at 2000mhz and 1.2v @ 40-48°C, and now it's 1.2v and 51@idle, something must be wrong. especially because my gpu got warmer too. could it be a damaged mainboard? can't really explain that issue otherwise

Ah, I was thinking 1v sounded very low, lol.
Motherboard is 100% fine. It actually doesn't pick up the temperatures, as the temps you are recording are usually in the die themselves.
Make sure you are using a reputable temperature monitoring software. I like HWMonitor.

Since both temperatures are going up, I could only narrow this down to the lack of case airflow.
Tightening the cpu cooler should not affect temperatures in a negative way, however if the cooler is VERY tight, you may be flexing the motherboard. I usually tighten the cooler until it doesn't want to twist or move very much under its own weight. nothing more than that is really necessary.

It wouldn't hurt to re-seat the cooler with some fresh thermal paste though. You could have trapped some air in the TIM if it was very loose before.

This is really as much as I could think of though, other than fan profiles changing and other issues that probably don't apply.
