Need help and advice on buying a new monitor (150$ dollar price range) I really need help!

I have a (somewhat old) 4:3 LG monitor and I'm thinking of buying a new one. I'm looking to spend around 100-150€ (around 150$ give or take) on the new monitor and I'd prefer a 16:9 or 16:10 ratio.

I have the specs in my signature and I'd appreciate all the help you could give. Thank you for everything!

Most monitor speakers are not very good at all. For $30 you can put up a cheap set of speakers that will blow away the monitor ones.

So if I get a monitor with no speakers i can get a better/ cheaper one? Or are either the ASUS VH242H Black 23.6" or ASUS VH236H Black 23" a good buy? Thanks for the help!

LED backlighting mostly just saves a bit on power consumption and also display thickness, nothing special really compared to fluorescent backlighting that used to be prevalent for LCD panels. Asus VH236H is a decent and safe pick.

One interesting option could be the BenQ GW2450HM:
http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/benq_gw2450hm.htm

which has excellent contrast ratio, low input lag, and decent responsiveness.

It's £132:

somehow I was thinking about some other thread and misread € as £. Uh...that's probably out of budget in Portugal. Never mind.
