I think it could happen whenever the ZxR is released, since (on paper) it is the replacement for the titanium HD.

I remember best buy had a price error on them a year or so ago, a bunch of us got them for like 50 bucks tongue.gif

Please enlighten us? What do you know about the Z series cards that nobody else does? How have you reached this conclusion?

If you watch amazon you might see a few used for 100 dollars if you lucky, or if you look around the forums here or head-fi for a Titanium HD thats going for a good price.

In the line of Z on Recon3D returned separate DAC chips and other foreign elements, so it is interesting to find out how the new cards are interesting to the consumer and how they are competitive in the market today.

Thanks for posting the review +Rep. smile.gif

Seems to be a good review. And I agree with his comments about the microphone. If creative released a version of this without the microphone than it would seriously compete on price.

Just one thing that bugged me, maybe it was the fault of the translator, but he kept refering to the Z as the recon3D.

NVM I understand why he keeps mentioning the recon3d.

Oh, the RMAA results look very good as well.

Is the basic model worth of getting over TI HD? Is the headphone amp any good on the card to warrant not getting a dedicated amplifier? I think Titanium HD didn't have an amp so my headphones would suffer a bit for that.
The thing is you can always add a external Amp to the Titanium HD PCI-E when you need to, and depending on which headphones you have and how much power they req to sound correctly. I would personally add a external amp to the Titanium HD PCI-E over getting another sound card with a headphone amp in it. That way you keep your titanium HD while getting a better external amp. Unless you really need those analog 5.1/7.1 outputs and planning on using them with a Receiver that has 5.1/7.1 Analog inputs or 5.1 PC speakers.
