New to Folding

Hello everyone.

So typically, I just hang around the Server forums around here, but have recently started folding. Today is day 3, and last night I switched over to OCNs team, and have completed like 10 WUs for the team now (with another 23 WUs for team 0).

I have 3 boxes that I am folding on:
Phenom II X4 945 - Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1
Phenom II X6 1055T - Windows Server 2012 RC (Soon to be RTM)
FX-8120 - Windows Server 2012 RC (Soon to be RTM)

Now the Phenom II X4 945 is my main PC, set up to run as a workstation. I have an ASUS DCII Radeon 6950 2GB, that I just can't figure out how to make it fold. I am using the V7 Windows Client, and it is showing:
GPUs: 1
GPU0: ATI:4 Cayman PRO [AMD Radeon 6900 Series]

But it has failed to run any WU in the past 3 days. I originally was getting the OpenCL.DLL error, so I installed the SDK and copied that DLL to the Windows dir, and that error seemed to have disappeared...but it still won't fold. My 945 is at stock, and only pulling like 8K PPD, so I would really like to get this GPU going as well. I am getting ready to do some overclocking to the 945 as well, and hopefully get 3.8-4.0Ghz, since I have a Hydro H60 cooler.

Any ideas on what else I need to do to get my GPU to fold?

Thanks!

Welcome to Team OCN!

While I'm not 100% it could be a flag in your slot configuration. I don't fold AMD so I have never set one up. I'm sure someone on here will chime in with a fix for you.

Your running quite a few servers. I have one setup as a file server running F@H on the cpu and two GPUs I threw in there.

Watch out though; Folding can get additive.

It's already addictive, lol. I got my 945 up to 3.65Ghz stable, and folding with that. I would like to find out how to optimize my CPUs to really push some nice PPD. Over in another post I saw a FX-6100 getting 29k PPD, which is crazy. My FX-8120 is getting maybe 9K PPD? He was running Linux in VMware Workstation, on Windows...so if that makes that much of a difference I will be spinning up VMs for SMP folding.

Now to figure out how to get my 6950 folding, and I should be able to contribute pretty decently!
