Windows 8 Problem Thread

Thread Starter
Okay, I upgraded my Toshiba sattlite lappy to windows 8 when Consumer Preview released, initially I was very disappointed at the fabled boot and shutdown times but those improved and after I had just gotten it all set up and was going along after about a week I found that metro didn't bother me as much anymore but then I started dropping WiFi every 5 minutes making general usage of the computer very difficult. I also use the lappy for minecraft so family doesn't have to touch my sig rig but with 8 I lost OpenGL support even with drivers so I guess that is more AMD's fault than windows but still when 7 did it without drivers of any kind it is irritating. I will try out the final version but if these problems are not fixed then I will stick with 7.

Post your thoughts here on windows 8 but ONLY CONSTRUCTIVE THOUGHTS NO FLAME WARS

Windows 8 preview is meant only as a preview and problems are to be expected. I mean its like testing a new drug, yeah it may work but you may also happen to get a skin rash, its irritating but not deadly. I would expect alot of companies are working on windows 8 drivers but they wont be released til closer to the full version goes widespread in the public
