Corsair H100 installation questions

Thread Starter
1) When installing the H100, are you supposed to hand tighten the thumbscrews, or hand-tighten then 1/4 turn with a screw driver? The instructions for this unit are not very good, mostly pictures with almost no wording.

2) For a push/pull configuration, are a second set of screws available for this (with washers, as the screws on their own will sink into the radiator)?

Thanks.

I just hand tightened the thumbscrews without ever using a screwdriver and it seems to be working fine.

As far as the screws go, just get some of these. http://www.xoxide.com/uncscrews6cross-slottedblacknickel.html

Sounds good. The screws you pointed out are discontinued, but I see the idea. I'll need to make sure they're the right length otherwise like the Corsair screws, they'll dig into the radiator. Thanks.

1a. i use a snug, then an 1/8 of a turn for my installs (with/without slotted thumbscrews).
they will be slight play, but generally, make sure the perimeter studs are fully threaded
into the backing plate (seems to be the biggest issue for botched installs).

2a. don't tighten them that tight as to have the screw-heads pull through. i've installed 15+
H100 and never had that happen... i switched to the corsair bolts listed below.
the washers are for the short screw set to attach to grill/mesh. for extra a hardware
outlet can have the 6-32 x 1.250" radiator screws. i use the corsair CC-8930026
corsair carbide accessory box that includes 12 screws that are perfect for rad install.
@ 4.99 each. you can not over-tighten these as they are shouldered.

i have four installed now, until the rest arrive.
