Hello everyone, so soon im getting a steelseries Siberia v2.

And i would love to hear your recommendations/opinions on this.
Would you get a 40-60 Euro ish dedicated sound card like e.g. the Xonar DG from asus?
Or get the usb soundcard from steelseries?

Which would give me better sound quality?
Better virtual surround sound?

Also if you can recommend any 40 euro ish sound card thats good i would love to hear of it. ( 60 Euro is probably my max, i know thats not a high budget for a soundcard but it will have to do smile.gif. )

Thanks alot for any advice smile.gif.

The Xonar DG is cheap and real value for the money. It's only $30 in most places, so I assume it would be similar or less in €. The Siberia SC is not that great tbh, and is certainly not worth the extra over the non USB version if you haven't bought it yet. If you are willing to spend more, see if you can get those FiiOs, they are awesome. smile.gif

Btw are you set on the V2s? There are better cans out there, just not with a mic which you'll have to buy separately. The Siberia is very comfortable though, atleast from my experience.biggrin.gif

I know the Siberia v2 are not the best quality headsets.
But its really comfortable and i find the sound overall to be quite crisp and has a nice bass. I know its not high end sennheiser headphones wink.gif

But i had the choice between a usb version and getting a sound card for the same price.
Im most likely going to go with the Xonar Dgx any opinion on that?

The DG is miles better than the USB SC, so you can't go wrong with it. biggrin.gif Just make sure you've a open PCI slot which is not blocked by GPU coolers or other components. I had a D1 myself and still miss it to this day, the Xonars are awesome. thumb.gif

Good luck with the purchase.

Thanks a lot for your help, that really helps out.
Would you get the DGX (with headphone amp).
Or the DSX (and separate headphone amp and where would i get one?)
DSX being slightly more expansive.
