What am I missing? Just about to order.

What am I missing? I know I need a few 120mm fans but what else? Also will everything fit? First watercooling build smile.gif

Other than fans which I am assuming you have.. Your solid. Counted the barbs and you got enough..

I think you picked the wrong tubing?? Shouldnt it be 1/2" ID to match the barbs not 7/16"ID?
I may be wrong?

You decide if you wanted compression fittings or clamps?

I picked out barbs..didn't I? Thanks for fixing the tubing. biggrin.gif
post #4 of 31
You did pick the parts.. I was making sure you had enough its a common mistake to not order enough..

The tubing slides onto and over the barbs, but to make sure it didnt pop off or leak you will either need compression fitting ($$) or clamps (ghetto rig). Follow?

I would also take the time to put together your rig components in the sig rig section.. Which will help us figure out if this will fit in the case or is over kill for your components. Thats only if you want to maximize our help!

No, I wasn't being sarcastic...sorry if I sounded like it. I was actually curious if I had picked out barbs or not. Clamps sound cool, can you link me to some good ones?
if you want color get color tubing. Save money by using distilled water and kill coil or pt nuke.
Using 7/16 tubing over 1/2 barbs will provide a tigh fit/ seal. I didnt use any clamps but again I was willing to take that risk.

LoL yea their cheap and can be gotten at a local hardware store.
http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-25ecodZ5yc1v/R-202032892/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=pipe+clamp&storeId=10051#.UCw3pd1lQ8o

They look like this except mine take a regular screw driver to tighten and mine were bulkier. I think you want 3/4 to 1inch anything bigger and you may have to tighten it like crazy. As i said before its the ghetto way of doing it.. If you got some extra cash.. like $50 pick up some compression fittings.. cheap ones!

Yea Juggalo ^^ may be right about the 1/16 smaller.. I personally would get clamps you never know when u pull on something inside the case and opps there goes the tubing with it..

which do you two think is smarter..clamps or compressions? I'm still under budget so I have some cash to work with.

Here is my proposed build currently: http://www.overclock.net/lists/display/view/id/4504168

You dont need the killCoil with that ek fluid..it has microbial in it..

Ekoolant already contains an anti-algae additives. Therefore we do not recommend adding of any extra anti-algae or anti-microbial agents. The addition of any other substances may result in a chemical reaction, which can cause dye breakdown and clogging which can harm your system.

Have you looked into Mayhems Blood Red premix?

Awesome, glad I don't need silver. Is there a big difference between the two?
