Slow loading Youtube

I've had this problem for a while now, but it has been extremely more noticeable in the last few days.

Basically, Youtube videos will buffer extremely slowly for me. I mean like ridiculously slow. Less than 1 Mbps.

However, when I use Hotspot Shields, which is a free VPN, the speeds are like 10 Mbps.

Why does this happen and how can I fix it? I don't want to use Hotspot Shields all the time since it increases my ping on games.

What do you get on speedtest.net? If its really slow, try calling your isp, ask them if they can do something

I get like 13 down/ 1 up on speedtest. Anyways, I fixed it by switching DNS server to Google's.
