Terrible SteelSeries Experience! - Page 5

European law afaik dictates a 2 year warranty. The warranty on a mousepad usually covers manufacturing defects such as screwed up stitching.

Yep but the warranty enforced by european law isn't given by the manufacturer (ofc he can still give additional warranty on his terms) but by the seller which can make things a bit complicated
You also have to take in mind that the min. time the seller has to prove that the product wasn't defective when he sold it is only for the first 6 months, after that you have to prove otherwise.

If it takes you two years to find out something is wrong with your mouse pad, something is wrong with you.

They're supposed to degrade like a saw does after cutting trees, logical thinking. Why do you think gaming companies sell mouse skates? they're not supposed to perform like they did out of the box years after heavy use.

Well if let's say your warranty is 1 year, one could assume it could withstand the wear and tear of a year tongue.gif

But I would never bother using RMA for a pad unless it was faulty on delivery. I've got an Allsop Raindrop XL, with 2 spare ones in the closet.

I actually love the Allsop because it becomes strangely better for me as it wears down. Half way through its life cycle the friction becomes ideal for me biggrin.gif

Its like trying to RMA batteries after you have used them and they died

(late to the bad analogy game)

If I had ANYTHING that used batteries, I would simply out of protest. You know they have a battery that could last a year, right? It's not sold to the public or mass produced though because it would destroy so many avenues of revenue.

I got my pad(s) today. They sent me two. I guess they wanted to make sure they didn't send me the wrong one this time! GG. Thanks SS!
