Hi all;)
I'm getting 3 7950 for tri-fire but i want them water cooled.Im trying to find the lowest card and block cost. So whats the cheapest way to water one 7950.. thanks <3

The cheapest way to watercool them would probably be the Antec Khuler mod if you can get someone to make a bracket for them. Pretty much it sticks an Antec Khuler to the GPU core and that's how it cools it. The next way is probably a slightly better way but look to get a universal GPU block. The problem with these is that they only cool the core just like the Antec mod. Because of that you will have to either mod the stock cooler or get some small heat sinks for the VRMs and what not. Other then that I would try to see if you can get some used blocks but it would be a bit tough to find three used.

On a side note if you can afford three 7950s, why not just get two of them and get new full cover blocks for them? You can add a third later on if you want.

It really depends on how ghetto you are OK with your rig looking

If you're all good with SUUUUUPER ghettoness then the Antec Khuler mod, like VW (Jetta?) TDI 02 said, is good.

If you want your rig to look somewhat decent then Swiftech's full cover blocks are the cheapest.

You can dress those things up and get them to look pretty good. Having three Antecs Khulers on the other hand would be a complete mess. Also it's a VW Golf, not a Jetta. Been nothing but problems lately though....

My 02 GLI is doing great, I'm sorry to hear yours isn't. How many miles have you got?

And on topic; anything but full cover blocks and a waterblock bridge will be absolutely out of control and overly difficult when it comes to 2+ GPUs in a loop.

Also, like he said, if you have the money for three 7950s, why not get two 7970s? Or even a 690?

And on topic; anything but full cover blocks and a waterblock bridge will be absolutely out of control and overly difficult when it comes to 2+ GPUs in a loop.

I think if you get the universal GPU blocks you could get away with some 90 degree fittings and get it to look good. I think you're going to be stuck with a very restrictive part of the loop with three cards in a row with a bunch of 90 degree fitting sbut it is possible.

Mine has about 124K. Here is everything that has gone wrong since I got the car (~2009). All of the following issues occurred within two years except for the first time the glow plug harness went.
- Glow Plug Harness X2 (pain in the butt since it goes into the main harness and travels under the battery holder and the air filter holder ending at the firewall): 2009 and again in Fall/Winter 2011
- Timing Belt (resulted in pretty much a whole new engine. New head, valves, pistons, etc.): Thanksgiving 2010
- New rear rotors and brake pads: Summer 2012
- Blown Turbo (resulted in a new turbo, exhaust manifold, and a few oil lines. Had some clogged vacuum lines that had sucked up oil when the turbo went): Summer 2012
